Phew! I just finished my first round of exams for the semester and now it’s time to relax, unwind and celebrate! When my friends and I want to escape the stress of school or are looking for a fun place to chill out, we usually don’t have to look much further than some of Tulsa’s best (and in my personal opinion, the best all around- trust me, I’ve been to some pretty awesome places all over the country!) eats! Whether you’re looking for restaurants with yummy food, or a cool ambiance (or both!)… you’ve come to the right place!
If you ask me what my favorite hobbies are I’ll say learning about/ engaging in social justice issues and (a very close #2)… EATING! Thankfully, there’s no shortage of great eats in Tulsa! As your resident Tulsa foodie, I suggest we start with breakfast (or brunch for you fancy-types) – the most important meal of the day. Two of my absolute favorite places are Tally’s Good Food Café and Old School Bagel Café. Tally’s is your classic All-American diner situated on Route 66 (pretty cool, huh?) and it’s where I go for comfort food. The menu is huge, but I personally love to order from the breakfast section (offered at all times of the day, I might add, for when you want breakfast for dinner). Even larger than the menu are the portions – they’re mammoth-sized – getting through a meal at Tally’s for my friends and I is like conquering Mt. Everest! You probably won’t need to eat for the rest of the day (expect a food coma)! Continue reading
